Stretch Classes
The stretch classes offered at Rebound Sports Physio are designed and instructed by a qualified physiotherapist who is able to answer any questions you may have surrounding the topic of stretching. Our physiotherapists also understand that everyone has a different level of ability and may have limitations due to pain or stiffness. As such, our classes are small in size (max 10 participants), allowing the instructor to individually assist you in finding a correct position if required. Each class is one hour long, providing the perfect amount of time to cover all major and minor muscle groups in order to achieve the most benefit for each participant. The classes are extremely dynamic, with routines changing from week to week to include a balanced mix of fit ball and floor based stretches. All stretching positions are easy to adopt and as such, the class is perfect for individuals of all levels, from beginners who have never stretched before, to those who stretch on a regular basis. Furthermore, all the stretches performed in the classes can be easily completed at home in between sessions to maintain all the benefits.
As an important addition to the stretching routine, our instructors will also take you through a series of individualised muscle release techniques with the use of foam rollers and spikey balls to further enhance the positive effects of the class. With the aid of minimal equipment, just like the stretches, these techniques can also be completed with ease at home.
Most importantly, these classes will improve your flexibility and stability and help in injury management and future prevention. For those participating in competitive sport you may notice a boost in your performance and a reduction in muscle soreness. Everyone, however, is sure to leave the class feeling much more relaxed and more able to go about their daily routine.
