COVID-19 Information Update

Your health and wellbeing is our number one priority at Rebound Sports Physiotherapy.

In light of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we want to reassure you that the team here at Rebound have several measures in place so we can continue to provide a safe environment for you and your families.

Hygiene Action Plan:

• You will notice a number of additional hand sanitisers in the clinic, please utilise these upon entering and departing the clinic, as well as before and after you use any exercise equipment.
• We require all patients to wear a surgical mask whilst present in the clinic. If you are wearing a homemade mask, a surgical masks will be provided upon entry to the clinic. If you have a medical exemption, please contact us to discuss your circumstances with your practitioner so we can make appropriate alternative arrangements.
• Our staff are also wearing surgical masks and protective eyewear during all consultations.
• We are also temperature screening all patients with a contactless thermometer as they enter the clinic.
• We are adhering to social distancing measures by spacing out our waiting room chairs, placing barriers between reception, conducting clinical discussions and assessment from 1.5m where it is clinically appropriate to do so, and are currently not offering group sessions.
• We are offering Telehealth consultations where appropriate to minimise the traffic through the clinic.
• The staff are completing additional daily cleans especially of high traffic areas including a thorough room clean between each patient.

Health Action Plan:

• If you are experiencing cold or flu like symptoms, please seek prompt medical attention, prior to attending the clinic.

Signs to look out for include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Fever;
  2. Cough;
  3. Sore throat; or
  4. Shortness of Breath.

Overseas Action Plan:

This policy applies to all persons entering the premises:

• We ask that you do not attend the clinic for 14 days following arrival back into Victoria from all international countries and interstate.

Hotspot Action Plan:

This policy applies to all persons entering the premises:

• We ask that you do not attend the clinic for 14 days following arrival back into Victoria from any regions considered a hotspot by the Federal or Victorian government.

Mass Gatherings Action Plan:

We are asking anyone who has attended a mass gathering to consider the urgency of their care. If you have attended a mass gathering and require treatment within 14 days of your attendance, please advise our staff upon booking so we can wear the appropriate personal protective equipment and please wear a mask to your appointment.

Virtual consultations available

We are expanding our virtual consultation service to all patients. Virtual consultations involve an assessment of your pain and how you move via video conference, followed by guided manual therapies and self-release techniques. Your physiotherapist will then perform a reassessment to evaluate the effectiveness and implement an appropriate exercise or self-release regime. To book a virtual consultation, please contact us. If it is your first appointment, we may recommend a face-to-face consultation initially to allow our practitioners to comprehensively assess your condition, please phone the clinic to discuss and arrange your telehealth consultation as appropriate.

 Here are some simple steps to strengthen your immune system

• Maintain a healthy diet and avoid processed foods
• Exercise regularly (the national physical activity guidelines advise 150 minutes per week of moderate intensity exercise)
• Ensure you get enough quality sleep
• Reduce stress through activities such as meditation or yoga
• Reduce smoking and limit alcohol consumption
• Maintain adequate levels of vitamin D through regular exposure to the sun in small doses
