Clinical Pilates in Abbotsford

Physiotherapist-Led Clinical Pilates & Rehabilitation

Individualised Programs • Maximum 4 Participants • 45-Minute Sessions

Physiotherapist-led Clinical Pilates session at Rebound Sports Physio Abbotsford

At Rebound Sports Physio, our Clinical Pilates program is delivered exclusively by physiotherapists who have completed extensive DMA Clinical Pilates training. Every participant follows their own personalised program in a small-group setting designed to support rehabilitation, injury prevention and long-term strength.

Unlike traditional Pilates classes where everyone follows the same routine, every participant follows their own individualised rehabilitation program designed by their physiotherapist following a comprehensive assessment.

Whether you're recovering from injury, managing ongoing pain, returning to sport or looking to improve strength and movement, our Clinical Pilates program provides expert guidance in a supportive small-group environment.

Why Choose Rebound Clinical Pilates?

DMA-Trained Physiotherapists

Every Clinical Pilates session is supervised by a qualified physiotherapist who has undertaken extensive training through DMA Clinical Pilates.

Maximum 4 Participants

Classes are capped at just four participants, allowing close supervision, exercise progression and individual attention throughout every session.

Small-group Clinical Pilates classes are limited to four participants, allowing close supervision and personalised exercise progression.

Personalised Programs

This isn't a one-size-fits-all class.

Each participant follows their own tailored exercise program based on their injury, goals and stage of rehabilitation.

You may be exercising alongside three other people, but everyone is completing different exercises designed specifically for their needs.

45-Minute Sessions

Our longer sessions allow time for coaching, exercise correction, progression and education to maximise your results.

Evidence-Based Rehabilitation

We combine Clinical Pilates principles with modern physiotherapy, strength training and rehabilitation strategies to help you move better, feel stronger and stay active.

What Is Clinical Pilates?

Clinical Pilates combines physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation principles with Pilates-based exercise.

Following an individual assessment, your physiotherapist develops a personalised program designed to:

  • Improve strength and stability
  • Restore movement and flexibility
  • Improve posture and body awareness
  • Reduce pain and stiffness
  • Enhance balance and coordination
  • Support recovery after injury or surgery
  • Reduce the risk of future injury

More Than Just Pilates

At Rebound Sports Physio, Clinical Pilates forms part of a broader rehabilitation approach.

Depending on your needs, your program may incorporate:

  • Reformer exercises
  • Trapeze table exercises
  • Mat-based Clinical Pilates
  • Free weights and resistance training
  • Swiss ball exercises
  • Balance and movement control training
  • Functional rehabilitation exercises
  • Strength and conditioning principles

Rather than following a generic Pilates class, every exercise is selected for a specific purpose and progressed according to your goals.

What To Expect

Initial Assessment

Before joining a class, all participants complete an individual physiotherapy assessment.

During this appointment, we will:

  • Discuss your goals and injury history
  • Assess movement, strength and flexibility
  • Identify areas requiring attention
  • Develop your individual Clinical Pilates program

Ongoing Sessions

During each 45-minute class, your physiotherapist will supervise and progress your personalised program.

Because classes are limited to four participants, we can ensure exercises remain appropriate, effective and aligned with your goals.

Meet Your Clinical Pilates Physiotherapists

Our Clinical Pilates program is delivered by experienced physiotherapists who have completed extensive DMA Clinical Pilates training.

To ensure continuity of care, we recommend that your initial assessment is completed with one of the physiotherapists who supervises our Clinical Pilates sessions. This allows your exercise program to be developed by the clinician who will continue to guide and progress your rehabilitation.
